Skinner’s Falls
Skinner’s Falls is not a waterfall but a spectacular section of whitewater rapids along the Delaware River just south of the Milanville Bridge in upper Wayne County. The falls is the most treacherous section of rapids on the entire Delaware River. The single lane bridge was built in 1902 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Pocono Mountains consists of a broad plateau 1,000 feet higher than the surrounding region. The lakes, wetlands and streams collect tremendous volumes of water that cascades down 600 to 800 feet as it gets in close proximity to the Delaware River. These "Fall Lines" are where many waterfalls are located.
